Aocelyn

As a child, Aocelyn loved to sing and dance. At 14, she wrote her first song in an attempt to deal with the bullying she faced. She continued to write songs and freestyle, but also began to produce her own beats and perform online. Aocelyn hopes to one day perform live so her fans can experience her music in person.

In 2018, Aocelyn was featured on the Ajungi album – her first experience in the professional music industry. Aocelyn has since recorded her debut album, Lovely, which was released in November of 2021. Her songs are about hope, self-esteem, rooting for outcasts, never giving up, and breaking the stigma around mental illness.

If given the opportunity of fame and fortune, Aocelyn would use her influence to feed the world, starting with Nunavut, where food insecurity is commonplace. Aocelyn gives her fans something to relate to, so they don’t feel alone. Her music lets people know that they matter and they are loved. Aocelyn believes love and forgiveness are the most important virtues, and she wants to be an inspiration to other Nunavummiut.
